Okabe Station

Find your location

Okabe Station is the 21st postal town after Maruko Station on the Tokaido. Although it was a small station, it was a place of rest for travelers who safely crossed a perilous pass known as the Utsunoya Pass. Along the former Tokaido, an inn called the “Kashibaya” built in the Edo period which has been designated a registered tangible cultural property of the country still stands, allowing you to take a leisurely stroll around while enjoying scenes of the postal town of that era everywhere.
