Hanashi Area

Find your location

Hanashi is a mountainous area in the northeast part of Fujieda City. A mountain massif stretches from east to west through the area, centered on the Hanashi River. The Imagawa Clan built Hanagura Castle here, and used it as their base to invade Sumpu. The Hanashi River basin is dotted with a number of cultural properties, mainly Buddhist temples and Shinto shrines with historic ties to the Imagawa Clan.
