This Japanese and Western confectionery shop is located in the Honmachi shopping district. Their famous “Soccer Ace Monaka”, a beloved treat served for more than 60 years, has a soccer ball shaped skin stuffed with sweet bean paste. They also serve a wide variety of other confections, such as cakes, pound cake, and anmitsu (bean jam, mochi, and various fruits served in sweet syrup). They also sell sweets associated with Fujieda that make for perfect souvenirs, including “Fuji Matsuri” (Wisteria Festival), and “Fuji-no Hana-no Ki-no Shita-de” (Under the Wisteria Flower Tree).
