This shop on the old Tokaido road sells both Japanese and Western style confectioneries. Their popular Japanese sweets include fresh cream daifuku and strawberry daifuku (mochi stuffed with sweet filling), and their most popular Western style confections include cakes made with plenty fruit. They choose the best ingredients for each season, such as peaches from Yamanashi and mangos from Miyakojima in the summer, Kyoho grapes and Shine Muscat grapes in the autumn, and strawberries in the winter. They also sell snacks that are easy to carry around, such as baked sweets and steamed buns.
