Rengejiike Park

Mitta

This alternative space was created by the chief priest of Daikei-ji Temple, which is famous for its ancient black pine tree known as Kuon-no-Matsu. The building is a renovated century old kimono store, which from day to day hosts restaurants, cafes, children's cafeterias, pastry vendors, and bakery classes. Sometimes it even serves as a terakoya (Buddhist temple elementary school). Yojo Cafe 89, which opens here every 2nd and 4th Wednesday, serves popular health-conscious lunches made with seasonal ingredients.
